Cool water makes me clench, which tends to make me miserable.

I love me a warm bath. Sometimes I'll add some peppermint or eucalyptus to the water as it just feels nice - along with lots of Epsom salts.

Of course, I oftentimes will add some milk to the water. If it was good enough for Cleopatra, it's good enough for me! :D

Hi Susanne!

I've been watching the progress over on Nicole's blog and just checked in at Arika's blog and thought I'd come see how you're doing!

I'm with you on the sore muscles. Yikes! But it's a good sore, if you know what I mean. I loved the weight exercises today and just had to laugh at myself doing the cardio, of course Delaney joined in, and so did Nicole, at the laughing at me part, not the exercise.

Regarding the soaking in a hot versus cold bath, I like a hot bath because my muscles feel more relaxed, and that's what I want. I don't know which is physiologically better, but I'm no expert - I just know what feels good to me.

I also love, like Scott, Epsom salts - big fan, have been for years. Anyway, I love what Scott said about doing some little stretching exercises in the tub while you soak. That sounds so-o-o-o nice and relaxing. I'm going to try that tomorrow and report back. I never thought of doing anything but lay there like a stone. Now it makes sense to use the hot water to loosen up your muscles and give them a good stretch. I can just imagine how nice that would feel on the ol' hamstrings. Those things are tight today and pretty ouchy.

I'm feeling very positive about the progress, even though I'm a bit sore, well, a lot sore, but a good sore like I said, so no worries. I'm anxious for tomorrow's work out, so whatever Scott's doing, it must be right! It's working - getting me back again, every day!

I'll talk to you tomorrow, Susanne. Thanks for your updates on how your workouts are going. Good info and nice support. Thanks!

Susanne I'm so proud of you sweetie! :) Keep it up...I'm right behind you - can't wait to get my stability ball. ;)

And yes, I too take a warm bath with muscle soreness - when I get time to actual take a bath vs a shower. ;)

Thanks for the feedback Scott and Jade. I ended up giving the cold bath a try ... well it was as cool as I could comfortably take it.

The Epsom salt in warm water sounds much more comfortable. I'm definitely going to try that as well as the Vitamin C you suggested. I do take a multi-vitamin, but a little extra can't hurt. Might go with some Vitamin E as well.

Either the cold bath today helped or my body is slowly getting used to these quick intense workouts. I'm feeling much better tonight. .. still some soreness, but the good kind that let's you know you've done the workout right (as opposed to the "Where's that bottle of Ibuprofen soreness I had the past few days).

Thanks for being such an awesome motivator Scott. You really keep me going and I love the fact that you're going the extra mile to reply on the blog.

Personally I would go with a hot/warm bath with some Epson Salts in it, I also add some other stuff when i have it on hand, though off the top of my head I can't recall the name, it is a liquid that I found at Walmart in the bath beads section. I have found that my soreness is reduced if I stretch the muscle that I am currently working in between sets.

Love your blog and love the feedback that you've been sharing on the Fat Loss Quickie program.

It's nice to hear that the quick workouts are having a big impact on your body ;) Muscle soreness is fairly common when starting a new program... especially one that really works.

What I do for muscle soreness is soak in a hot bath with Epsom salts. I drink a lot of water while I'm in the tub too. While in the tub I try to stretch out my muscles while reaching for my toes and a few various stretches that can be done in the tub.

Water does wonders for muscle soreness!

Are you taking a multi-vitamin or vitamin C. Vitamin C prior to a workout has shown signs of reducing muscle soreness.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us!
