If you just love your afternoon daytime dramas then commercial break exercises will work for you. While you are watching the shows you can do some light motion exercise and when the commercials come on you can do your best to get that heart rate up. Just a few simple living room easy workouts can be enough to slowly get you back into shape.

During you TV show lightly warm up with simple shoulder rolls and easy stretching from a seated position on a couch or chair. Try constant and fluid motions to get your blood flowing in your upper body and back. You can also swing your arms as if walking then switch over to just reaching for the sky. Just repeat this over and over until the first commercial break but just go very easy and slow.

At the first TV break it’s time to go to work. Try starting with push-ups. What type you do will depend on your current fitness level. If it has been quit a while since you have done anything physical you can start by doing a modified push up. Just get on you knees and put your hands on a coffee table and do your workout at a more upright position as to make the movements much less stressful. Do as many as you comfortably can until your show comes back on.

Just try to change up light movements with each show time and move through each major muscle group during the commercials. You can now keep up with your favorite TV shows and not feel guilty about the time you spend on the sofa.

Britney Spears isn’t the only mommy that wanted to get her figure back after pregnancy. Britney Spears’ workout plan and ab routine obviously worked great for her so there no reason is couldn’t work for you.

The National Enquirer posted details of the diet and fitness regime Britney was on in an effort to lose 20 pounds and kick start her comeback. Supposedly Britney’s newly re-hired manager, Larry Rudolph, put her on the program, and this would make sense because he is also the person who is said to be brokering the deal to have her represent Bally Total Fitness.

Here are the details:

    * “Six small meals a day of specially prepared organic food – chicken, salads, vegetables and other low-fat fare.”
* Pampering treatments for encouragement and appearance such as facials, hair and skin care treatments
* Working out “with a trainer, three times a day, five days a week.”
* “She’s been ordered to do a staggering thousand stomach crunches a day on her own.”

Here is a video breakdown of Britney Spears Ab Workout Program Plan. This quick and easy ab routine will have your core and stomach looking flat and toned in no time. Fit fitness into your daily routine for best results.

This will teach you with how you can burn total fat and lose belly flab with these abdominal exercises for flat abs in just weeks.

In order to show off your abs, you have to burn off fat. To burn fat, you have to increase your metabolism by building lean muscle. If you swap 1 pound of fat with muscle will force your body to burn up to an additional 50 calories a day. These area directed moves work major muscle groups without adding a lot of bulk.

Abdominal exercises flex and strengthen up our internal organs to help them function correctly and thus keep us in great health. If you are suffer with period or back pain abdominal exercises are useful for you.

Ab Exercise # 1. Standard Crunches – This is done lying with your back flat against the floor with your ankles crossed and knees raised toward your chest. Your Hands can be put together in the front or placed behind the head with elbows straight out to the sides. Squeeze the abdomen muscles and lift your shoulders off the floor. Do not strain your neck and leave your lower back flat.

Ab Exercise # 2. V Style Crunches – Take a chair, sit on the edge of the seat with your arms straight down to the side and holding the seat. Keep your back straight. Lean the body back so it is at a 45 degree angle. Contract your abdomen muscles and lift the legs up toward the chest to make the knees form the second line of the V. This abs exercise works the lower abs. Keep your back straight with no arching of your lower back when lifting the legs.

Ab Exercise # 3. Leg lifts – A third good abdominal exercise to work the lower abs is to lie flat on the floor with your legs straight out, hands to your sides or under your buttocks and lift your legs about 5 – 12 inches off the floor and hold for a few seconds. Keep the position for as long as you can without straining your neck or arching your lower spine. Repeat this step as many times as you can. While doing the exercises keep your abdominal muscles tight and your lower back flat to the floor.

Adding an exercise routine during your pregnancy can help you stay healthy and keep you energy level at a normal rate. Keeping up with an exercise routine during pregnancy can strengthen your posture and lessen some common ailments such as fatigue and back pains. Evidence that physical activity may reduce the risk of gestational diabetes (diabetes that develops during pregnancy) has been found. Exercise can also relieve stress, and give you greater stamina that will be needed for labor and the delivery of your new child.

1. Consult with your obstetrician prior to starting any pregnancy exercise routine to make sure you do not have any problems.
2. Pick a safe form of exercise for your regular pregnancy exercise such as walking, swimming, low-impact aerobics and water aerobics.
3. Post first trimester, do not do pregnancy exercises or positions while lying flat on your back. This compresses blood vessels in your back and can reduce blood flow to the baby.
4. These sports are not considered to be safe as pregnancy exercise – scuba-diving, basketball, soccer or other impact sports, gymnastics, water or downhill skiing.
5. When you have a regular exercise routine such as running, cycling or strength training, be sure to check with your provider if you can continue them while pregnant.
6. Have your pregnancy exercise consist of at least 3 sessions per week.
7. Start slowly, perhaps only exercising for about 5-10 minutes at a time if you haven’t exercised in awhile.
8. Warm-up and stretch for at least 5-10 minutes. When done with exercise, do a slow cool down period for at least 5 minutes.
9. As you move into the later stages of pregnancy you should decrease your pregnancy exercise levels. Past 24 weeks of pregnancy your added body weight may limit motion and you may need to reduce your activity level.
10. If the following symptoms occur while exercising, stop and call your doctor:

    * dizziness or feeling faint
* shortness of breath
* chest pains
* vaginal bleeding
* headache
* muscle weakness
* calf pain
* contractions
* leaking vaginal fluid

Today was day 4 of my Fatloss Quicky Challenge. <– Click there to follow along and read what I’m thinking about it so far.

Today I split up the weight and cardio portions which worked a lot better. I’m still really sore though, thus the title of this post, but back to that in just a second. First, let me give you a quick breakdown of today.

Workout (Weight) Session was pretty short (under 9 minutes I belive) and we worked biceps, ticeps and of course abs again (ouch). It was pretty intense, but I hung in there and as a result can barely lift my arms to type at this point. I’m sure the soreness will become less severe as we move through the coming weeks and I noticed that my body is recovering quicker and quicker which is nice.

I did the cardio session a little while ago (a good 3 hours after the first session) and it burned my legs up. I thought yesterday was bad … Jumping Squads and Shuffles back and forth got my heart rate up and gave my legs and abs another great workout.

But I was hurting afterwards, and have a meeting to go to tonight, so I mentioned to my husband that I was going to go soak in a hot bath to sooth those sore muscles. He suggested a cold bath (he also mentioned ice bath, but I ain’t going there) instead to help the muscles recover more quickly.

So my question is this… in your experience, what’s better to heal sore muscles? A cold bath or a hot bath? Or just a plain old shower for that matter? Any other tips to help get over sore muscles more quickly (other than the obvious – to work out again the next day).

After doing yesterday’s workouts my arms were so sore, I could barely lift them up high enough to type. Thankfully they are all better today. I did end up breaking the workout down into weight portion in the morning and then the cardio in the afternoon. Since they are just 10 minutes each it’s pretty easy to squeeze them in.

For some reason, still don’t know why, I didn’t get around to doing any type of exercise until late afternoon. I started with the 10 minute weight workout for the Fatloss Quicky Experience, which focused on the legs today. The muscles in my legs and abs were sore as can be and tired, but I felt pretty good overall, so I thought, what the heck … I’ll do the cardio portion right after. It’s just 10 minutes, right?

Not a smart move. The cardio was all legs with jumping jacks and quick steps and there just wasn’t any power left in those poor legs of mine. I did my best and made it through the workout, though I had to walk in place through parts of the last two rounds of jacks and steps.

Scott warned us at the beginning of today’s workout videos that he was going to kill our legs and he sure did. I could barely make it up and down our 5 patio steps tonight.

Overall I’m feeling great though … especially once the muscle soreness wears off. I’m so excited to see my body grow stronger as I progress further in this program.

And just in case that isn’t motivation enough, Scott includes some great audios that will get and keep ya going.

Time for another quick update about the Fatloss Quickie Program I’m reviewing. Yesterday was day one. I shared my thoughts on the program and the cardio workout in a previous post and wanted to take a few minutes to update you this morning as well.

I have to tell you, I am SORE this morning. Considering that I just did 10 minutes of cardio and 10 minutes of weight exercises, this sure gets results, at least if my poor sore muscles are any indication. I ended up doing the weight exercises right before bed last night. The only problem with that was that I ended up so energized from the workout that it took me a good two hours to fall asleep and that’s just not going to work for me in the longrun.

My new plan is to do the weights portion of the program early in the morning, and then the cardio around lunch time when I need a little extra boost in energy.

Let’s talk food for a minute. The program comes with a menu that rotates through high, medium and low carb days. I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet, but instead am sticking to 6 meals (3 main meals and 2 snacks). Each meal contains a lean protein like egg whites, chicken, fish, or beans, and plenty of fresh fruits and veggies. I’m also adding some complex carbs to my main meals.

I’m off to do day two of the weights workout and will check back in tomorrow to report on my progress. Feel free to leave some comments. I’d love to hear from you.

I just got through the 10 minute cardio workout for Day one of the Fat Loss Quickie Experience. And boy was it an experience… This is seriously kicking my butt. I was having and puffing. I don’t remember the last time I got my heart rate up this quickly in such a short amount of time.

After I got done I had just enough to time to shower, get dressed and then walked up the hill to pick up my daughter from school. I could tell this was really working because I could already feel it in my legs while I was walking. Now that we’re back and had our afternoon snack, I’m loving the way this makes me feel. I’m energized and ready to tackle the rest of the afternoon – including the threaded homework (my daughter’s, not mine).

Here are my thoughts so far on this product.

Pros

I like the online delivery and all the videos and audios. The workouts are easy to follow along and since my laptop is up and running all the time anyway, it makes it easy for me to sneak in a workout throughout the day.

I also love Scott’s high energy. It’s contagious.

Cons

I have two little problems with this so far that could easily be fixed (and one of them is partially my own fault.). When I ordered this, I received an email right away asking me to confirm my signup, which I did. I was then redirected to the first day of workouts, which I didn’t get around to doing until today (I ordered yesterday). What I didn’t realize was that the email that was sent out right away landed in my spam folder.

Scott – you may want to check your spam score on that email and tweak it to get past.

The second con was in part my own fault. I never made it through reading the entire order page, and thus didn’t realize I was supposed to have an exercise ball and hand weights around for day one. I have the hand weights but will have to do a little bit of creative thinking on what I can use to replace the exercise ball until I can get one (hopefully tomorrow).

As a customer, I would have appreciated a little heads up in the first welcome email. Something along the lines of…

To get ready for Day one of the Fat Loss Quickie Experience you’ll need

An exercise ball

a pair of hand weights

comfortable shoes and clothes

I’m going to do a slighly modified version of the weight resistance portion of the program tonight and will check back in tomorrow with my thoughts on day two.

P.S. Follow along and post your thoughts, questions and progress along the way.
